Dr. Harish Yadav (born 1 September 1980) is an Indian bureaucrat, author and economist. He is known for his contributions to public policy, rural development, environmental conservation, governance and literature. During his career in the Government of India, he has served in several departments dealing with economic affairs, entrepreneurship development, environmental protection and administrative governance. He has also authored books and research publications on economics, public administration, rural development, Indian culture and literature.

Early life and education

Dr. Harish Yadav was born on 1 September 1980 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He spent his childhood in Rishikesh, where he completed his early education.

He attended Kendriya Vidyalaya, Virbhadra and IDPL Inter College. He later earned a Master's degree from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, followed by an M.Phil. from Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu. He subsequently obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics.
