She was born to M.A. Quader and Amena Quader (née Farhana Afroz) in Bangladesh. Ruma Khaled completed her Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree from Lalmatia Mohila College in Dhaka, Bangladesh, before pursuing her Master of Arts (M.A) from the National University of Bangladesh. From a young age, she exhibited a profound passion for music and commenced her musical journey under the tutelage of Ustad Julhashuddin Ahmed, a renowned music guru.[3][4]

Under the guidance of Ustad Julhashuddin Ahmed, Ruma Khaled honed her musical skills, later refining them under the mentorship of Dr. Lina Taposhi and Pronob Gosh. Her dedication and talent earned her recognition, leading to her enlistment as a singer on Bangladesh TV.[5]

Her debut album, "Valobasha Boba Chithy," composed by the Kolkata-based composer Rishi Kumar Chatterjee, marked the beginning of her illustrious career in 2021. She followed this with her second album, "Mon Kemoner Gaan," collaborating with the legendary Haimanti Shukla in 2022. The year 2023 witnessed the release of her third album, "Ehsaas," recorded at the prestigious Lata Mangeshkar Studio in Mumbai.
