He is recognised as the first practitioner from the state of Gujarat to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Diabetes Mellitus (Traditional Medicine) from the Open International University of Complementary Medicine, Sri Lanka.

Dr. Raval was born and raised in Gujarat, India. His father, late Dr. Dhaneshkumar Raval, was associated with the medical field and played an influential role in shaping his interest in healthcare and traditional medicine.
