Born and raised in Barrackpore, Kolkata, Rishikesh Tewari was influenced early on by his parents — Mrs. Nayantara Tewari and the late Mr. Krishna Van Tewari — to pursue excellence in education. Following a strong foundation in ICSE and CBSE schools, he studied English literature at Bhairab Ganguly College. His linguistic journey continued with an M.A. in Linguistics, where he was a gold medalist, followed by two Ph.D. degrees from Indian and American institutions.

Dr. Tewari began his teaching career at local institutions such as Saraswati Academy and St. Stephen’s School. He later joined Amity University, where he currently serves as a professor.
