Rajani Kanta Mukherjee (born 4 November 1973) is an Indian entrepreneur and politician based in Chandigarh. He is widely known as the founder of Neel Akash Enterprises, a company engaged in water purifier sales and service. Mukherjee is also associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and is active in local political and community initiatives.
Early life
Rajani Kanta Mukherjee was born in Berhampore in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal, India. He grew up in a financially modest family environment. In 1998, he moved to Chandigarh to pursue professional opportunities.
His early years in Chandigarh were marked by significant hard work and determination as he established his career.

Mukherjee completed his higher education with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree.

Banking career
In 2009, Mukherjee joined the State Bank of India (SBI) as a Branch Manager. His experience in the banking sector helped him develop financial management and administrative skills.
He worked at SBI until 2012 before leaving to establish his own business venture.
Business career
After leaving the banking sector, he founded Neel Akash Enterprises on 13 October 2012 in Chandigarh. The company specializes in the distribution, installation, and servicing of water purification systems.
The business deals with well-known water purifier brands including:
- Kent RO Systems
- Aquaguard
- Aquafresh
The company operates from SCO 237, Basement of Punjab National Bank, Sector 45B, Chandigarh.
Political involvement
In 2024, Rajani Kanta Mukherjee entered active politics and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
