Dr. Rishikesh Tewari (born 19 May 1995) is an Indian author, linguist, and professor recognized for his scholarly work in English language education and modern linguistics. With a dual Ph.D. in English Literature and Language Studies, he is also the founder of Rishi’s English Club, a training institution focused on enhancing spoken English and communication skills in India.
Biography and Academic Journey
Born and raised in Barrackpore, Kolkata, Rishikesh Tewari was influenced early on by his parents — Mrs. Nayantara Tewari and the late Mr. Krishna Van Tewari — to pursue excellence in education. Following a strong foundation in ICSE and CBSE schools, he studied English literature at Bhairab Ganguly College. His linguistic journey continued with an M.A. in Linguistics, where he was a gold medalist, followed by two Ph.D. degrees from Indian and American institutions.
Academic Career and Contributions
Dr. Tewari began his teaching career at local institutions such as Saraswati Academy and St. Stephen’s School. He later joined Amity University, where he currently serves as a professor. Through his platform, Rishi’s English Club, he trains students and professionals in English proficiency, soft skills, and public speaking. His curriculum blends theoretical linguistics with practical communication strategies.
